Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Salary: £45,000 to £60,000

Iceotope Technologies Ltd is based on the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Due to increasing demand we are now seeking Embedded Software Engineers and will consider applications from people seeking permanent, fixed term and contract roles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software. Review code and design complex operating systems Understand and generate detailed requirements/specifications according to business needs. Documentation and presentation to support and communicate your findings and recommendations. Integrate and validate new product designs to complete projects within allotted budgets and timelines. Provide post product launch support. develop and maintain a close relationship with hardware design engineers. Present project progress to lead Embedded Electronics Design Engineer

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Embedded programming
• Embedded debugging with JTAG / Eclipse
• Embedded Linux development
• Scripting languages – Python, TCL, bash
• Version control – GIT or SVN
• Hardware debugging
• Embedded ARM, SOC
• Yocto or Buildroot
• Ethernet, I2C, SPI

DESIRABLE SKILLS

• TI MSP43X, STM32 or equivalent
• FPGA skills, or xilinx ZYNQ etc.
