Senior Manager, Market Intelligence - Public Sector

Location: USA Type: Full-time

The Senior Manager, Market Intelligence is an integral part of the Conduent Public Sector Marketing team and the Global Public Sector business. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing in McLean, Virginia, this position will research, identify, and analyze market trends and data on domestic and international government programs to provide actionable insights that accelerate the sales cycle for Conduent's solutions.

This role requires an experienced, analytical, collaborative, and self-motivated leader with the entrepreneurial spirit and vision to expand the boundaries of the company's existing public sector market intelligence function and develop innovative new capabilities. By acting as an internal subject matter expert and consultant, you will pioneer new tools, reports, content, messaging, and analyses that improve the relevance and effectiveness of Conduent's marketing, sales, business development, capture, and proposal response investments.

Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of the inner workings of U.S. state, local, and federal government programs, procurement processes, contracts, and data sets (international expertise is a plus). Your efforts will influence everything from strategic business plans and account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns to content marketing initiatives, messaging, proposals, collateral, and sales presentations. You will cover a variety of diverse market segments, from public transportation, financial/payment services, and social programs to constituent experience, IT services and public health solutions. As a tech-savvy analyst, you must be comfortable researching and interpreting opportunities involving emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, smart cities, artificial intelligence (AI), identity management, and more.

You will collaborate with executives and peers across multiple departments, including: marketing; senior business leadership; sales; capture, bid, and proposal teams; media relations; analyst/advisor relations; government affairs; training; and others as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

New internal capability development: Establish and manage scalable, sustainable public sector market intelligence capabilities that accelerate growth.
Opportunity identification: Identify, analyze, and communicate relevant information on government strategies, programs, budgets, legislation, and priorities that will lead to new business opportunities and expanded sales pipeline for Conduent, both in the US and internationally.
Sales enablement: Collaborate on the development of sales and marketing plans, messaging, differentiation, and presentations to position Conduent in the market and improve win rates. Contribute to the enhancement of Conduent's internal training and enablement programs in collaboration with the sales and bid/proposal organizations.
Account-Based Marketing (ABM) support: Provide input to improve prioritization, targeting, messaging, and account capture strategies. Identify critical personas and decision makers and deliver insights that guide the creation of content, presentations, marketing campaigns, collateral, proposal responses, and capture plans.
Market research: Utilize primary and secondary research to uncover government market insights that shape the development and positioning of new and improved product/service offerings, partnering strategies, and business investments to address customer needs and funded programs.
Content creation: Create written and recorded content to support thought leadership and branding efforts. Represent Conduent as a subject matter expert for industry events, analyst and advisor presentations, speaking engagements, and earned media opportunities as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required, with a focus on Government, Political Science, Technology, International Business, Marketing, or Market Research preferred. MBA is a plus.
Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in a market analysis, market research, consulting, or strategic marketing role with a focus on the public sector.
Demonstrated understanding of US and/or international government programs, acquisition processes, budgets, data sets, sales cycles, and market intelligence tools.
Strong analytical skills, business sense, and data-driven thinking.
Able to think and operate both strategically and tactically in a fast paced, rapidly changing Matrix environment.
Comfortable advising and interfacing with executives.
Excellent communication and speaking skills with the ability to write, present, and simplify complex information.

Additional Requirements:

Travel: approximately up to 10% of the time to meet business requirements.
Proficient in English with the seamless ability to read, write, converse, and speak the language in the same manner as a native speaker.
Position is based in McLean, VA; remote candidates will be considered.
