Senior Marketing Communications Writer

The Senior Corporate Communications writer supports Ansys' content marketing efforts by developing targeted content that explains the benefits of our products and services while promoting the Ansys brand. The role requires excellent writing, editing and collaboration skills to transform technical topics into stories that are read, shared and acted upon by audiences that include product design and development engineers, third-party media outlets and internal company stakeholders.

Senior Corporate Communication Writers will work with a global team to identify technology trends and newsworthy corporate initiatives, then compose and edit engaging copy for magazine articles, press releases, blog posts, case studies, white papers and more. They will then guide those assets through Ansys' approval process and iterate on drafts while ensuring deadlines are met. The Senior Corporate Communications writer will also edit the work of other staff writers and contract writers to mentor them while ensuring corporate content standards are being met.

  • Work closely with Media Relations, Product Marketing Managers and technical experts to define story ideas
  • Conduct research
  • Interview internal and external sources
  • Write and edit copy
  • Gather photos and art to accompany articles
  • Guide articles through approval channels
  • Proofreading
  • Post content to the Ansys website
  • Mentor other writers

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field with 3-5 years of writing and editing experience
  • Engineering and/or technical writing experience
  • Familiarity with search engine optimization
  • Experience with MS Office, Adobe InDesign, online content management systems or other publishing tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Attention to detail

  • 5+ years of writing and editing experience in an engineering-related field
  • Experience with AP Style
