In your role as Software Engineer, you will work within a team of specialists to deliver solutions that span across products in the SUSE portfolio. You will interface with Project Managers, Product Managers, Quality Assurance, technology architects, and other experts across department boundaries. Your task will be to become a subject matter expert in your area of expertise to deliver enterprise-ready, Linux-based solutions. You will develop code and configuration, ensure quality and testing is in place, and act on errors from the CI. You will work interactively with upstream communities to enhance, extend, and improve open source software projects. You’ll be point of contact for other engineers seeking expertise in resolving customer reported issues, and respond to bug reports for code and config you’re responsible for.

If you love solving technical puzzles to achieve solutions, and are ready to accept challenging tasks, then you will find supportive and competent peers at SUSE which will help you to grow your expertise and accomplish your tasks. We look forward to meeting you.

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, and to see the big picture

  • Passion for contributing to a safe, diverse, and inclusive culture

  • Openness to learn something new, continuously improve, and a strong desire to build great things

Bonus Points for

  • Experience working within a distributed team
